Gainsbourg/Birkin

This past weekend I finally saw Gainsbourg: A Heroic Life.  I have been looking for it everywhere and ended up finding it on demand.  It was a very curious film with an ambiguous and interesting way of telling the life of Lucien Ginsberg aka Serge Gainsbourg.  He had this giant rat-looking distorted figure following him around for parts of the film that was very Michel Gondry.

It really got me more interested in Jane Birkin as well.  I didn't know much about her except she was the mother of their two children (including Charlotte) and was an actress.  How unbelievably gorgeous she was though.  She has such great style as well.  Any woman who carries around a wicker basket as her purse is pretty awesome in my book.
