Happy Halloween!

I finally at the last minute decided what I'm going to be for Halloween this year. I usually have my costume picked out the day after Halloween the previous year! I remembered I have this old dress of my grandmother's that's black and white striped cotton with a white peter pan collar and cuffed sleeves that buttons up. I thought, why not braid my hair and get some black spray hair color and be:

Wednesday Addams!

Have a wonderful Halloween everyone! (I hope it stops raining here soon!)

it's the great pumpkin

One of my favorite things about Halloween is picking out my pumpkin, carving it and making roasted pumpkin seeds. Here's some of the more creative ideas I've seen on decorating pumpkins this year.

movie interiors: 2001: A Space Odyssey

One of my all-time favorite movies. The sets in all of Stanley Kubrick's movies are insane, but I especially love this one. The bedroom at the end inspired the colors for our bedroom. I love all of the vibrant pops of color.

This shot was the inspiration for our bedroom when we redid it.

I want his chair.

I hope that never ends up in my bedroom!

a few more from the road

Here's a few more shots from my Kentucky road trip last week. enjoy!

rain, rain, GO AWAY!

Seriously, it won't stop raining here. It's ridiculous. We were in a Level 5 drought last year and now we can't stop the water from coming!

Well, at least we can look cute during it all.

It's delightfully cool right now. Very unusual for Atlanta. I've been lusting after some new sweater coats to wear. Here's a few of my favs:

I'm Back!

My house is still a good month away from being completely back in order, but at least I got my images restored and a new computer. (set up on my dining room table!)

I just went to Lexington, KY this weekend for my cousin's wedding. The drive up was gorgeous. I wanted to pull over every 5 seconds to take pictures, not very easy when you're going 90 mph! I did manage to get a few though so here's a few I've worked on so far.

btw- My etsy shop is back up and running now!
