movie interiors: monster-in-law part 2

I think craftsman houses are my favorite style. I also think I need to move into this one:

Even the tree in the front yard is gorgeous.

I love the framed subway signs.

I like how all of their dining chairs are different.

my dream bathroom if it had to have any color other than white

The art in this house deserves it's own post. I think that really makes a home.

movie interiors: monster-in-law part 1

I love, love, love the interiors in Monster-In-Law. I'll show Charlie's apartment first. Before she moves into the amazing craftsman house with Kevin.

I love her studio on her balcony.

and her gorgeous antique bedframe.

Her building has great spanish architecture.

I adore this courtyard!

lucy locket

I've been wanting a new locket necklace lately. I used to wear my mom's when I was little. I miss the romantic idea of carrying my loved ones around my neck. Here's some lovelies I found on etsy.

I wanna dance

Some new pieces....I added the first one to my shop.

every little counts

I love the new Wild at Heart line from Every Little Counts.

I've been wanting one of their shirts for a long time and just couldn't pass up the black toujours amoureux short. I can't wait to get it!

a little bit of gardening

We've doing a bit of plating this year. Last year, we couldn't plant anything because we were in a level 4 drought and could not use any outside water at all. The year before that, we planted a lot, but most of it either died in the drought or our dogs tore it up because we didn't protect it. Here's a bit of what we've planted so far this year:

1. Weeping Willow 2. Purple Wandering Jew 3. White Rose Bush
4. White Gardenias 5. Harry Lauder's Walking Stick 6. Wisteria
7. Hostas 8. Creeping Jenny 9. White Calla Lilies

I so wish The City Gardener would come back to HGTV. That show was so informative and creative (not to mention I had the biggest crush on Matt James.)

Kitchen Wishlist

I would love to add these things to my kitchen, especially the cookbooks. I only own four right now and two of them are deidcated entirely to soup.

All available at anthropologie and crate and barrel

movie interiors - breakfast at tiffany's

I just finished reading Breakfast At Tiffany's by Truman Capote:

and I have to say, while I enjoyed the book, it is one of those rare few that I enjoyed the movie so much more. The Holly in the book was so much more crude. Just another reason why I love Audrey Hepburn so much. So of course I'm featuring her beautiful apartment as my movie interior this week.

finally updated it to a much better picture now that I own it on blu-ray.  It looks absolutely amazing.  It was like watching it for the first time.  I can't believe I never noticed her shoe was hidden in a blue donkey!?
