ruby slippers

I just got my first metallic prints a few weeks ago and they turned out amazing. My ruby slippers prints turned out exceptionally well. They're two very different versions, one taken on expired polaroid film, the other digital overlayed with another image in photoshop. I might have to keep these copies for myself.

What would I do without this movie?

busy

I've been having such a busy year so far. I just opened a new etsy shop this week in addition to my photography shop. It's called threaded lilac and I'm incoporating my photography with faric in the form of pillows, bookmarks, notecards, coasters and tissue boxes, etc. Here's one of my pieces:

I was also a featured photographer on talentdatabase this month. I just joined so I was very excited about that:

snow and birthdays

Well, the slew of January birthdays is finally over. On the last one we finally got some beautiful snow! It's snowing again as I'm typing. we haven't really had any in Atlanta in about 2-3 years. Here is a new piece I did to commemorate the entre evening. It contains three of my favorite things: christmas lights, snow and birthday cake!

Here is a new polaroid I shot on expired film. I love the colors you get with it:

new work

Well, I got my new camera and I am in love. I've been working on a new "bleached" series that I'm really excited about. I think using my polaroid camera+expired film for the past months has gotten me into that faded look. Here are two of my pieces from the series so far:

My birthday is on Sunday and I'm very excited to be getting a sewing machine! I'm going to be opening a new etsy shop (in addition to my photography one). It's going to be a marriage of my love of fabric and photography with a little encaustic thrown in as well. I've starting working on pieces this week for it so I'll post pics when I have a few pieces ready.

I'll leave you with my latest fav from etsy:
